Beach and La Cala centre with shops, bars and restaurants are about fifteen minutes walk away. There is also a pharmacy and bakery. There is a large selection of restaurants, both Spanish tapas restaurants, Italian, Chinese, Thai and Indian. Close by there are several grocery stores such as Carrefour, Mercadona, Aldi and Lidl. There are market days in La Cala on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Mijas Costa is popular with northern Europeans due to its climate, great golf courses and proximity to Malaga airport, so you can easily get there by transport. Malaga Airport is around 25 minutes east, while Marbella and Puerto Banus are 20 minutes west.

The area has many excursions to offer such as the authentic village of Mijas Pueblo, Ronda, Gibraltar, Granada (with Alhambra and Sierra Nevada), Puerto Banus, the old town of Marbella to name a few.

Bien, pero...

El apartamento nos gustó mucho, bien ubicado, limpio, el personal de la urbanización y el staff muy amables, pero con el precio tan alto que tiene no es normal que el jabón de manos esté casi vacío y disuelto con agua, no haya rollos de papel, ni servilletas, ni bolsas de basura por si se llena la única que dejan. Son detalles que estaría muy bien que dejaran. Una sugerencia de mejora sería un toldo en la terraza, porque los días de mucho sol no se está a gusto ;) Por lo demás, todo genial ♡
